Gold prices in Pakistan reach record high with Rs268,000 per tola

Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend, reaching a new record high on Monday. In the local market, the price for a tola of gold surged by Rs1,700, hitting Rs268,000. This increase follows a previous record of Rs266,300 set on Saturday.

The price of gold for 10 grams also saw a significant rise, climbing by Rs1,458 to reach Rs229,767, as reported by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). 

Internationally, gold prices also increased, with the rate rising to $2,587 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting a $10 gain for the day. Silver prices, however, remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.

The latest surge in gold prices aligns with the global market's upward movement, marking a continued increase in the value of precious metals.
