After the First World War, Kaunas became the provisional capital of a new progressive state of Lithuania; originally commissioned for the Kaunas 2022 European Capital of Culture, Klostės takes inspiration from the city's modernist inter-war architecture.
Shot in 16 locations and involving over one hundred contemporary residents of Kauna, the film is an enchanting surrealist escapade for both the spectator and the characters where the past interacts with the future, the living with the dead, and architectural details take on their own persona.
