No fear - song collector Ruth Clinton talks to RTÉ Arena

Some of you will be familiar with Artist and Singer Ruth Clinton as a member of the four part harmony quartet, Landless.

Alongside, Cormac MacDiarmada from Lankum, Sinead Lynch (also of Landless) and Consuelo Breschi of Varo, she will present songs from her new song book This Fearless Maid II as part of the Tradition Now Festival which will take place in the National Concert Hall on Friday, May 3rd.

This Fearless Maid II is the second collection of songs from Ruth, the first volume was titled This Fearless Maid and published in 2016.

Rarely heard Irish, English, Scottish and American songs from the 17th century to the modern day will be presented in new arrangements for voice, strings and synth.
