DANCE: DUBLIN DANCE FESTIVAL

The epic 13 Tongues by Asia's leading contemporary dance company Cloud Gate opens this year's Dublin Dance Festival at Bord Gais Energy Theatre, with performances on 14th and 15th May. 13 Tongues brings to life Artistic Director Cheng Tsung-lung's childhood memories of the sights, sounds and vitality of Taipei's historic Bangka district - enjoy a glimpse behind the scenes below. Elsewhere, this year's DDF programme features performances, showcases, workshops, films and outdoor experiences from across the globe, with Irish choreographer Emma Martin's Night Dances a must-see on the Abbey Theatre stage (14th - 25th May, various venues)

Filmed in West Cork and executive produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, this darkly comedic thriller concerns a motley crew of podcasters (Will Forte, The Dry's Siobhán Cullen and Robyn Cara) who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quiet coastal town. What follows is an off-kilter slow-burn with a killer ensemble of Irish thespians, including Young Offender Chris Walley, David Wilmot, Pom Boyd, Fionnula Flanagan, Pat Shortt, Barry McGovern, Pauline McLynn and more (Netflix, now streaming)

EVENT: WEST WICKLOW CHAMBER MUSIC FESTIVAL
