Taskmaster, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Jack Dee (below), Rosie Jones, Andy Zaltzman, Babatunde Aléshé and Emma Sidi take up the challenge, with Greg Davies deciding the winners and Alex Horne setting the tasks.

This group have all agreed to attempt a series of Tasks that will test their wits, their reasoning, their problem-solving and whether or not they can locate hidden rockets under pressure.

They'll also be searching for a seal, hurling yoga balls in a theme park and force-feeding Alex a bowlful of bubblegum.

The Taskmaster will then judge their efforts with his customary merciless precision and will eventually award one his coveted golden head.

New or Returning Shows

This is the story of one of the worst tragedies in modern Irish history, told through the words of the victims' descendants and the memories of the few remaining survivors.

On the 10th of May, 1943, a mysterious object came ashore on Ballymanus strand in rural Donegal. The next day, nineteen people, mostly children, were dead. A generation of the small townland was lost. Calls for answers were silenced by the authorities.

No one has been held accountable. The disaster is unknown outside of the close-knit community, and barely spoken of within it.

Season 3 begins in county Cork, museum standards and property coordinator Martina Madden is welcoming the grandchild of the last resident of the Fota House back to share his memories.

As they relive his youth, the team set to work on restoring the building, remedying the dry rot, replacing the roof and finding shutters for a newly discovered secret window.

Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby, 8.00pm, BBC Two

Rob Rinder joins Monica Galetti once more to travel and work at some of the world’s most impressive hotels.

As season six begins, the pair work in the Intercontinental Shanghai Wonderland hotel.

Built downwards into a quarry, the hotel known as the world's first 'earthscraper' offers guests hi-tech experiences and has windows looking into aquariums.

Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera, 9.00pm, UTV

The return of the series featuring extraordinary eyewitness footage filmed by members of the public, who share their memories of these experiences.

The Season 8 opener features a kayaker who was trapped behind a waterfall in Mexico, a barber who pulled a driver from a burning car in Las Vegas, and a family who narrowly escaped a doomed ship in Greece.

Plus, former downhill mountain bike world champion Gee Atherton recalls a fall from a mountain in Wales that nearly cost him his life.

In this two-part documentary, a tenacious mother unravels the complex mystery surrounding the 1989 disappearance of the daughter she placed for adoption.

In April 2010, Cathy Terkanian received a letter that would change her life forever.

It was written by a social worker, who explained that the daughter Terkanian had given up for adoption 35 years prior had disappeared from her adoptive home in 1989.

Driven by a need for answers, Terkanian enlisted the help of an amateur sleuth and local authorities and embarked on a 10-year quest to uncover what happened to her child.

Billionaire Island, Netflix

This comedy drama comes from the creators of Lilyhammer.

It’s about the ruthless owner of a Norwegian fish farming company who plans a hostile takeover of her local rival to become the world's largest salmon producer.

But she’s set a course that means she’s up against a family with a long history in this field – and they won’t be giving up without one hell of a fight.
