Netflix has renewed Emily in Paris for a fifth season following the success of the show's fourth run.
Season four made its debut in August and went to number one on Netflix's global top 10.
Creator Darren Star said: "We're thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily’s adventures in Rome and Paris!"
Season four saw Emily (Lily Collins) spark up a romance with a handsome Italian fashion scion and move into an Italian apartment to open a Rome office for Agence Grateau.
Star said of her new surroundings: "Emily's going to have a presence in Rome. It doesn’t mean she’s not going to be in Paris, but she’s going to have a presence in Rome."
The show creator said the switch-up was borne out of his desire to "stay ahead of the audience and take them to unexpected places," and prove "the show has the ability to have a bigger footprint."
Collins, who announced the season five news during an appearance on Good Morning America, said she's looking forward to seeing what happens between Emily and new beau Marcello (Eugenio Franceschini).
"Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance," she said.
"We want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time."
