Chris O'Dowd discusses season 2 of The Big Door Prize

Chris O'Dowd has been discussing season 2 of The Big Door Prize and gave a hint into what happens next.

The series follows a small town that is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears, promising to reveal everyone's true potential, which results in residents changing jobs, rethinking relationships and questioning long-held beliefs.

The Bridesmaids actor plays Dusty, the loving father, husband and teacher a "stalwart of the community" on the show.

Dusty receives a card and a vision that causes him to question his relationship with his longtime sweetheart Cass (Gabrielle Dennis), his happy life is thrown into chaos.

Speaking to Popternative the Boyle actor said in season 2, "You see the consquence of the mindset change, all the seeds from the morpho machine are now sprouting."

The Moone Boy actor explains: "Suddenly, a different option or a different road is thrust in front of him. It is very, essentially, selfish to go, 'Do I go down this other path, which is really purely about my own self happiness?'"

"Otherwise, you will always just be a people pleaser," O'Dowd said. "It's interesting to watch him do it, for sure."

Season 2 is directed by Irish man Ted Lasso's Declan Lowney , who directed two episodes last season, will return to direct in season two, along with directors Steven Tsuchida, Heather Jack, Jordan Canning, and Satya Bhabha.

Season 2 of The Big Door Prize is on Apple TV.
