The Script are set to play an open-air summer show at Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick next year.

The concert, which takes place on Saturday, 12 July, will be the band's only Irish show of 2025.

Tickets for the concert go on sale on Saturday, 28 September, at 10am from Ticketmaster.

The Script will play a massive open-air summer show in Limerick

In May, The Script announced the release of their new album along with a European and UK tour which includes dates at Dublin's 3Arena and Belfast's SSE Arena.

They will play Belfast's SSE Arena on Wednesday 13 November, before taking to the stage at the 3Arena on Friday 15 November.

The Irish rock band recently released Satellites, their seventh studio album, featuring the single Both Ways.

It is the first music the band has released since the death of The Script co-founder and guitarist Mark Sheehan.

Satellites is the band's first music since the death of guitarist Mark Sheehan

Speaking about the single, drummer Glen Power said: "Both Ways is high energy, and maybe not what people might expect from us. But we're The Script, and now we have something to prove: that there is life and light after the darkness. It’s why we’re coming fast and strong with that one."

The band vowed to pay tribute to their friend Sheehan by continuing the band they had built together.

Singer Danny O'Donoghue explained: "The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who's been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there.

"He always will be, but it's also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It'll never be the same Script. We're just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and that's to keep making more great music."
