It is reported that Halle Berry is in negotiations to join Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and Barry Keoghan in the thriller Crime 101, an adaptation of author Don Winslow's novella of the same name.
US entertainment trade publication Deadline reports that the film's director and co-writer is Bart Layton, who previously worked with Keoghan on 2018's American Animals.
"Plot details are under wraps, but the original short story by Winslow has shades of Heat as it follows high-level jewel thefts taking place up and down the Pacific Coast that police have linked to Colombian cartels," Deadline reports.
"Detective Lou Lubesnick has other ideas and he zeroes in on one perp, a thief looking for a final score."
Crime 101 is due to begin filming this month.
Berry can currently be seen in the survival thriller Never Let Go.
