Hozier and Fontaines DC among MTV EMAs nominees

Hozier and Fontaines DC are among the nominees for next month's MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) in Manchester.

Both acts have been nominated in the Best Alternative category - Fontaines DC's first-ever EMA nomination, according to MTV - alongside Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Rey, Twenty One Pilots, and Yungblud.

Hozier is also nominated in the Best UK and Ireland Act category alongside Central Cee, Charli XCX, Chase & Status, Dua Lipa, and Raye.

Voting is now open at: mtvema.com.

Taylor Swift leads the shortlist with seven nominations.

The EMAs will take place at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on Sunday 10 November and will be broadcast at 9pm on MTV UK, Channel 5, and Pluto TV.

The broadcast will be available on demand on Paramount+ from Tuesday 12 November.
