New or Returning Shows

The Last Leg, 10.00pm, Channel 4

Adam Hills (centre), Josh Widdicombe (left) and Alex Brooker (right) are back for more live fun and chat to add to what's already a crowded Friday night space.

In the opening episode the dynamic trio are joined by actress and TV presenter Miriam Margolyes, comedian Phil Wang, and Graham Coxon and Rose Dougall's band the Waeve for a comic review of the significant moments of the past seven days.

As usual, the hashtag #isitok paves the way for the gang to round up, examine and explain the leading and most entertaining news stories of the week.

Don’t Miss

This week, Matt Lucas will be chatting to Patrick about his remarkable career in comedy, his debut musical novel The Boy Who Slept Through Christmas, and his cameo role in the hugely anticipated Gladiator II.

Ardal O'Hanlon (below) will tell Patrick how he is preparing to go back out on the road next year with his new show.

The pair will also catch up on meeting the Pope during the summer and Patrick will be asking Ardal how his role in Father Ted transformed his fortunes.

IFTA award winning actress, Victoria Smurfit will be talking about working on hit guilty pleasure TV show Rivals.

Eileen Walsh chats with Patrick about her role in the hotly anticipated Small Things Like These. Playing opposite her good friend Cillian Murphy, Eileen will tell Patrick how their friendship goes back to the start of both their careers.

In true Halloween style, Jedward will banish any ghosts or ghouls from studio with a paranormal performance while Bambie Thug will perform brand-new song Fangtasy.

New to Stream

Before, Apple TV+

This psychological thriller miniseries was written by Sarah Thorp and stars Billy Crystal, Judith Light and Rosie Perez.

After tragically losing his wife to suicide, child psychiatrist Eli Adler (Crystal) encounters a troubled young boy who seems to have a haunting connection to Eli's past.

Road Diary: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Disney+

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band offer the most in-depth look ever at the creation of their legendary live performances, including footage of band rehearsals, backstage moments, rare archival clips and personal reflections from Springsteen himself.

The Remarkable Life of Ibelin, Netflix

Norway’s turn.

When gamer Mats Steen died at age 25, his parents mourned what they thought was an isolated life.

It was only once they had access to his blog that they discovered the deep friendships he created virtually before passing away from a degenerative muscular disease.

The Remarkable Life of Ibelin is apparently a transformative journey proving how community can transcend the physical world.

Nautilus, Prime Video

Here's a reimagining of Jules Verne's 1870 novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas.

Nemo steals a formidable prototype submarine and escapes into the Indian ocean with a ragtag crew, determined to enact revenge against the ruthless East India Mercantile Company.

The Last Night at Tremore Beach, Netflix

This Spanish drama series follows a musician and composer in crisis who retreats into a coastal village in the north to finish his latest work.

His only neighbours for miles around are a married couple living in the next house.

After a serious accident during a storm, the musician begins to experience some terrifying visions about his neighbours.

Sport

SSE Airtricity League Live, 7.30pm,

It's Shelbourne v Drogheda United (KO 7.45pm) in live coverage from the penultimate round of Premier Division fixtures, this one being played at Tolka Park.

Shelbourne have their first top-flight title since 2006 in their hands with two matches remaining, having led the way for most of the campaign - but a poor recent run of form means Derry City and reigning champions Shamrock Rovers are waiting to close the gap should they drop points.

But if Damien Duff's Reds win tonight, and Saint Pat's draw with Derry, Shels will be champions should Shamrock Rovers fail to win on Sunday in Dundalk.

Given the way this crazy season has gone, that's pretty straightforward.
