The Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crews have released a remix of their global viral hit The Spark.
It comes following news that the young Cork and Clare rappers are in contention for a Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording and Song Of The Year for the feelgood banger, which has been received nearly two billion views on social media and YouTube.
The new remix was recorded by German producer and DJ, Felix Jaehn, who has enjoyed success with his remixes of OMI's Cheerleader and Ain’t Nobody (Loves Me Better).
The Spark was born from a spontaneous burst of creativity at Kabin Studio, a repurposed metal container turned into a non-profit youth music space in Knocknaheeny on the northside of Cork City.
The track also features the Lisdoonvarna Crew, formed by kids from a direct provision centre for asylum seekers in county Clare.
Since its release last summer, track has gained worldwide attention with coverage on BBC TV News, ABC's Today Show, magazines such as DJ Mag, Dazed, Mixmag, and newspapers including The New York Times and The Guardian.
The Kabin Crew and Lisdoonvarna Crews are set to perform at the Countdown Concert At Dublin Castle on New Year’s Eve.
