Taylor Swift-fever struck Paris on Thursday as the highest-grossing tour in history finally arrived in Europe, with fans treated to the first-ever performance of songs from her latest album.
The Eras Tour began its European leg with four dates at the La Defense Arena in Paris.
"I wish I could have toured Europe more. This is a dream crowd," the 34-year-old megastar told the ecstatic audience.
Swift debuted several new outfits, including a sparkling red bodysuit for the opening portion of the show, and a black dress with silver tassels during the Fearless era.
Eager-eyed fans spotted changes to the show almost immediately after it began, with the intro music updated to include snippets from The Tortured Poets Department.
Later in the show, there were deafening shrieks as images of typewriter sheets indicated that songs from the new album The Tortured Poets Department were about to start.
Emerging in a lyrics-covered dress, Swift ran through several of her darker new tracks including But Daddy I Love Him and Fortnight. There was a particularly furious rendition of Who's Afraid of Little Old Me? and an elaborate I Can Do It With A Broken Heart with a golden-era Hollywood dance routine.
"You were the first crowd to see songs from The Tortured Poets Department," she said before adding: "Or, as I like to call it, 'Female Rage: the Musical'".
However, adding new songs to the setlist meant some tracks had to be dropped from the 3-hour show. They include The Archer, Long Live, The 1, Tis The Damn Season, Tolerate It, The Last Great American Dynasty and Mastermind.
Swift's Eras Tour arrives in Dublin on 28 June for three nights at the Aviva Stadium.
