There's the landmark three-part documentary Stardust, the British Academy Television Awards, Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour, and Derek Mooney presents Back from the Brink . . .

Pick of the Day

Stardust is a new three-part documentary series made with the support and participation of families comprehensively telling the story of the 1981 nightclub fire and a 43-year search for justice.

As part of the wider Stardust documentary project victims will also be remembered on rte.ie with individual pen portraits.

It tells the full and unvarnished story of the Stardust nightclub fire and the 43-year search for justice undertaken by the families of those killed in the disaster.

Three years in the making, the series chronicles the night of the fire and the fall-out from it, the initial investigation into the fire, the relatives’ fight for justice up to the point of a second inquest and concludes with the recent, historic decision of 'unlawful killing’ delivered in the coroner’s court on April 18th.

Stardust is a definitive telling of the story of the tragedy, with candid testimony from eyewitnesses, some of whom have never spoken publicly before.

It includes contributions from survivors, bereaved families and some of the first responders who attended on the night of the fire.

The documentary will continue on Monday and Tuesday.

New or Returning Shows

Derek Mooney presents a range of success stories from across Europe that showcase the work of conservationists fighting to save animals and plants.

The series showcases how European conservationists are working to stem the tide of a biodiversity crisis and climate change, one step at a time.

From the return of the magnificent Osprey to Ireland, persecuted into extinction over 200 years ago, to the giant task of removing 10,000 rats from an island to give its birdlife a chance to survive, it celebrates the work of wildlife conservationists by showing how by working with nature we can help solve some of the problems we humans have created.
