Tell us three things about yourself . . .

My name is Johnny Dublin I am the Ireland's biggest illegitimate rock star extraordinaire! I was handed the name and title of Johnny Dublin by our Mayor at birth. Me da is one of Ireland's biggest landlords.

How would you describe your music?

Purely chaotic rock 'n’ roll, some catchy hooks and verses but a lot of noise rock too, it is definitely worth seeing our live shows. I think that is the best way to hear our music.

Who are your musical inspirations?

The Gun Club, Gilla Band, The Pogues, Iggy Pop and the Stooges, The Cramps, Amyl and the Sniffers, Rowland S Howard, Dirty Beaches.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Haven’t been to one yet, dying to go to one! If you hear of one let me know.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Dustin the Turkey - Unplucked. Wall to wall bangers.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Shut me Down - Rowland S Howard. That whole album carries a weight of emotions due to Rowland fighting cancer at the same time as recording.

Favourite lyric of all time?

That’s a tough one now but I think I will go with: 'Get your Brits Out. We’re on a mad one.’ - Kneecap.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Lonesome Town - Ricky Nelson. We used this song as heavy inspiration for our most recent release Wine Melody. This song on a summer evening is like finding a cold can of Guinness at a music festival; a dream.

Where can people find your music/more information?

Usually, we are all gallivanting around the city. Creating, stirring and providing. We have a YouTube channel and an Instagram where you can get more information about our upcoming shows and releases.
