Emma Stone walked the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday evening for the world premiere of Kinds of Kindness, her new film with Poor Things and The Favourite director Yorgos Lanthimos and the Dublin-based Element Pictures.
Stone, a Best Actress Oscar winner in March for her performance in the Element-produced Poor Things, was joined on the red carpet by co-stars including Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, Hong Chau, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, and Hunter Schafer, and Irish producers Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe from Element Pictures.
On the red carpet, Stone wore a custom Louis Vuitton sequin gown.
Euphoria star Schafer had a purple strapless Armani Privé.
Poor Things' Qualley wore a white outfit from the Chanel Couture spring/summer collection.
Kinds of Kindness follows three stories revolving around a man who attempts to take control of his own life, a police officer whose wife has returned a different woman, and a woman who searches for someone with a special ability.
In early reviews, The Guardian called it a "macabre, absurdist triptych" while Variety called it a "quizzical concoction bound to baffle and delight".
