Speaking about their new release, they say, "This EP sounds like what I grew up listening to and what I always wanted to make. We're getting closer to our sound with every song and I love that."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I started off as a drummer. I’ve rub multiple marathons and half-marathons. Before wanting to be a musician, I wanted to be a wrestler.

How would you describe your music?

Kind of how we always have, a blend of stadium rock and underground punk. But I’d also describe it as somewhat nostalgic and very dynamic, both instrumentally but also in terms of the kind of rock we do. It’s not one note, pun intended.

Who are your musical inspirations?

It varies. Easily Foo Fighters are up there and probably number one. Underneath would be guys like Prince, David Bowie, Jack White, Queen, and Jeff Buckley among others that I’m definitely forgetting. For the band besides Foos, I’d say Royal Blood, Muse, and basically any 90s/00s Alternative act.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Not by choice but by Shakira in like 2003. My first that I actually chose and was excited for was Slipknot during their All Hope Is Gone tour in 2009. I was just starting on drums and Joey Jordison was my hero at the time. I couldn’t believe I was in a room with my favourite band and drummer.

What was the first record you ever bought?

Funny enough also All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot. I still think that album gets way too much hate. It was really great and they tried some different things and honestly, I was obsessed with it when it came out.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Oh boy, that’s tricky. I’m currently obsessing over three bands right now. Queens of the Stone Age since my drummer and I saw them, favourite song at the moment is probably Smooth Sailing or Sicily. Dead Poet Society is another my drummer showed me and I’ve been loving the combination of heavy Djent-like riffs with more pop-oriented vocals. Hard to be God is definitely my favourite right now. Lastly, I’ve been super into Superheaven recently and it’s starting to show in my songwriting funny enough. Favourite song would be All the Pain.

Favourite lyric of all time?

That’s really hard. I can easily pick a Foo Fighters lyric like from Aurora but at the moment I’m just getting flooded with Chris Cornell lyrics, one of which is "Try to take a picture of the sun and it won’t help you to see the light" from Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart. But guys like Prince, Jeff Buckley and John Mayer also have some of my favourite ones, I’m very torn. This is why I have tattoos of my favourite songs; it makes it easier to remember.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That’s a really hard question, too. I’m gonna list a few and I know I’ll feel like I missed some anyway. Anything from the Tarzan soundtrack because that album made me love music as a kid. Purple Rain for sure. Everybody Wants to Rule The World is honestly perfect. Aurora by Foo Fighters as previously mentioned and a bit more of one that might come as a surprise With or Without You by U2.
