Speaking about the song, Nuke says, "This song is my feeling of disgust towards anyone who tries to justify stripping basic human rights away. And anyone who condones the murder of thousands of innocent civilians. The sad refrain repeats again."

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

Nuke Pasta is the name of this solo project, but my real name is Adrian Tanner. I was born, raised and currently reside in Las Vegas and I have been writing and recording music since I was 12 years old.

How would you describe your music?

Alternative pop or art rock would come closest to describing it, though I try my hardest to defy genre boundaries.

Who are your musical inspirations?

My top five at the moment would have to be: Kendrick Lamar, King Crimson, Frank Zappa, Loathe and of course: The Beatles. Honourary mentions: ELP and Queen.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

It was Styx, REO Speedwagon and 38 Special at the Thomas & Mack Center at the University of Nevada. My dad wanted to show me what a real rock show looked like after years of me asking him about every song I heard on the classic rock radio stations. Styx really stood out to me that night and lit a fire in me to learn the guitar.

What was the first record you ever bought?

The first CD I remember buying was from Walmart in 2005 and it was Bowling For Soup's A Hangover You Don’t Deserve. I had heard the two singles, Almost and 1985, from that album all over the radio at the time and just had to see what else was on there!

What’s your favourite song right now?

Right now, it’s Not Like Us by Kendrick Lamar because… c’mon.

Favourite lyric of all time?

"We’re just two lost souls swimming in a fishbowl" - Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Well first off, I would have a very short rest of my life if I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life! In fact, I think that’s an actual torture method they use on prisoners of war or something... but anyway! If I had to pick one I think I would pick Close to the Edge by Yes because it’s an18-minute-long song, and I could at least enjoy it the first 10 to 20 times before I went insane.

Where can people find your music/more information?

People can find my music on Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, you name it. Anywhere you stream music! My Instagram and TikTok handle is @nukepasta_ if you want to give me a follow and see what I’m up to next!
