Taylor Swift brings her epic Eras Tour to Dublin at the end of June, when over 150,000 Swifties will descend on Ireland's capital to witness the pop megastar journey through her almost 20-year career.
The last time Taylor played in Ireland was in 2018, with two rabidly received concerts at Croke Park as part of her Reputation world tour. She was praised as being on "pitch perfect form" and she was blown away by the "beautiful, passionate, generous Irish crowd".
No doubt she’s looking forward to gracing Irish shores once again after her memorable Croker appearances. Find out everything you need to know about the hotly anticipated gigs here.
When and where
Taylor is playing a trio of sold-out gigs on Friday 28 June, Saturday 29 June, Sunday 30 June at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Doors are at 5pm.
Getting there
The Aviva Stadium on Lansdowne Road, Dublin 4, is a very well connected and handy location.
It’s within walking distance Dublin's city centre, it’ll take about half an hour from St Stephen’s Green, but if you don’t fancy a stroll then there are plenty of transport links.
The easiest method of transport is probably the dart, as the Lansdowne Road station is a one-minute walk from the Aviva Stadium.
There is no direct route from the Luas to the Aviva, but the Luas red line connects to the Dart at Connolly Station. You can then get the Dart from Connolly to Landsdowne Road.
There are also direct bus routes from the city centre, including the 4, 7, and 7a. There are also additional Dublin Bus routes which service the Aviva depending on where you’re travelling from – check out the 18, 38, 38A, 47, C1 and C2.
Opening time of the venue
Admission begins at 5pm. No queuing will be permitted prior to gates opening. The full timings for the concert have yet to be confirmed.
Can I still buy tickets
Nope! The tickets have long been snapped up for these gigs. When they went on sale last July, thousands of Swifties were left disappointed when only pricey VIP packages were left within minutes of the tickets going on sale. Fans can keep an eye on Ticketmaster for official resale tickets and see if they get lucky.
What to expect
Taylor has dazzled fans across the world with a spectacular journey through her 18-year-career that has seen her release 11 albums, the most recent being The Tortured Poets Department. The average Swift concert used to be around 2 hours long but The Eras Tour sees her take to the stage for a whopping 3 hours and 15 minutes. She performs 45 tracks within that timeframe, some are shortened versions and there are also some interludes throughout the show.
Set list
Taylor cut several songs and re-structured the concert to showcase music from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Fan favourites including The Archer and The 1 were dropped in favour of new songs like Fortnight and Down Bad.
The singer-songwriter has cherry picked a selection of tracks from her sizeable back catalogue including: The Man, You Need To Calm Down, Lover, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, I Knew You Were Trouble, All Too Well, …Ready For It?, Delicate, Look What You Made Me Do, Blank Space, Shake It Off and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.
Support act
American rock band Paramore are the support act for the European and UK leg of The Eras Tour. The band consists of Hayley Williams, a long-time friend of Taylor’s, Zac Farro and Taylor York. They are best known for tracks like Misery Business and Still Into You.
While announcing that Paramore would support her tour, Swift tweeted: "Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m screaming???""
Really can't contain my excitement because… we’re adding 14 new shows to The Eras Tour. And I get to travel the world doing shows with @paramore!! Hayley and I have been friends since we were teens in Nashville and now we get to frolic around the UK/Europe next summer??? I’m… pic.twitter.com/kl1aijxR2o
