Daryl McCormack joins Andrew Scott in Knives Out sequel

Daryl McCormack has joined his fellow Irish actor Andrew Scott in Netflix's next Knives Out movie, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

US entertainment trade publication Deadline reports that the cast also includes the returning Daniel Craig, who plays the super sleuth Benoit Blanc, Challengers star Josh O'Connor, Civil War's Cailee Spaeny, Mayor of Kingstown's Jeremy Renner, Scandal's Kerry Washington, and Family Guy's Mila Kunis. News of Tipperary man McCormack's casting was first reported by Variety.

Daniel Craig

Writer-director Rian Johnson, who wrote and directed 2019's Knives Out and 2022's Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, is back to write and direct the third instalment.

Cailee Spaeny

The film is due to go into production this month for a 2025 release.

Josh O'Connor

McCormack will next be seen in cinemas in the action-adventure Twisters. It opens on Friday 19 July.
