Today’s football action begins with Poland v Netherlands (K0 2pm) and Tony O'Donoghue presents coverage of the Group D match from Volksparkstadion in Hamburg.

The Netherlands will be looking to improve on a relatively disappointing recent record in Euros finals, having not made it past the quarter-finals since 2004.

Poland will be looking to fare a lot better than their last appearance at this competition, when they finished bottom of their group after drawing one game and losing the other two.

From 4.30pm the coverage heads towards Slovenia v Denmark (KO 5pm) and Peter Collins presents coverage of the Group C match from Stuttgart Arena.

This is Slovenia's first appearance at a European Championship finals since 2000, and their first major tournament since they took part in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The Danes will be looking to at least emulate what they did at the previous European Championship three years ago, when they surprised many by making it to the semi-finals.

England coach Gareth Southgate

Then at 7.30pm, attention turns to Serbia v England (KO 8pm) and Peter Collins presents coverage of the Group C match from Arena AufSchalke in Gelsenkirchen.

England finished runners-up at the previous finals, losing on penalties to Italy in the decider, and are one of the favourites to lift the trophy this time around.

Serbia are playing at their first Euros since they separated from Montenegro and will be looking to upset the odds in this encounter, a first competitive meeting with the English.
