Fans have been given a closer look at Colin Farrell in the new Batman spin-off series The Penguin with the release of a new trailer.

The HBO Max limited series will pick up the story where 2022's box office hit The Batman left off and is due to premiere in the autumn on Sky Atlantic and Now TV in Ireland.

The series will see Farrell reprise his role as the DC Comics villain Oswald 'Oz' Cobblepot aka The Penguin.

Farrell also serves as one of the executive producers on the new series alongside The Batman director Matt Reeves.

Katie Keenan, Sky's Group Director of Acquisitions, has described The Penguin as "arguably DC's answer to The Sopranos".
