Sarah has gone on to star in a host of other West End shows including Les Misérables; played Imelda Quirke in The Commitments; Evita; Waitress; Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol and, most recently, Disney’s Frozen.

Sarah O'Connor and Laura Pick

Wicked runs at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre from July 23 to September 14, with Laura Pick starring alongside Sarah O'Connor as Elphaba.

"It's going to be amazing," she insists. "And I was playing a much smaller part in Evita when I was here before. It was for five days. This is nearly two months! I think it's going to be a very different experience."

Tickets for Wicked are available from Ticketmaster.
