Pick of the Day
Focusing on the vital cultural role of museums in Ireland, while focusing on the history held within the National Museum and National Library of Ireland.
This series is a celebration of Ireland’s timeless legacy, paying homage to the devoted guardians who dedicate their lives to its preservation.
Ireland’s Hidden Treasures sparks a renewed focus on the vital cultural role of museums in Ireland – not just in documenting our history and protecting our heritage – but as repositories of engaging stories, windows to our past and, ultimately, guides to who we really are.
This is the story of Ireland itself.
The first edition of the series uncovers the story of the Brasky Mass, a 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite, and its voyage from space to Irish soil.

The 1% Club, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One
The quiz show hosted by Lee Mack in which the questions have nothing to do with remembering facts, but are all about logic and common sense, returns for a second run.
A hundred contestants begin every show, but who will make it to the end and answer a question only one per cent of people can get right - and win up to a six-figure sum?
Here's the best of Lee Mack from the first season:

This one-off show celebrates some of the greatest moments.
From Jacqueline du Pré to Sheku Kanneh-Mason, Verdi to Stravinsky, Maria Callas to Jessye Norman, the greatest names have thrilled viewers in concerts, films, and features.
This programme celebrates an astonishing breadth of talent from 60 years of the finest classical performances shown on the channel.

Our Changing Planet: Restoring Our Reefs, 6.00pm, BBC One
As season three begins, Steve Backshall meets scientists working to help save coral reefs, which are under threat from rising sea temperatures.
The programme focuses on two different projects that are now combining their efforts - collecting coral spawn to maximise fertilisation and using fish vocalisations to help them grow.
Plus, Liz Bonnin (above) visits The Coral Spawning Lab in London where corals are being grown on an industrial scale.

Then at 3.55pm, Clark and Chrissy notice a small crack in Lois's facade, Sarah and Jordan have an awkward encounter, and Lana receives a panicked phone call.

Miranda’s Victim, Sky Cinema & NOW
Abigail Bresling, Luke Wilson, Ryan Phillipe, Mireille Enos, Donald Sutherland, Sebastian Quinn, Andy Garcia and Taryn Manning star in a drama based on true events.
It follows eighteen-year-old Trish Weir (Abigail Breslin) who in 1963 was kidnapped and sexually assaulted.
After a voluntary confession, her assailant, Ernesto Miranda (Sebastian Quinn), is convicted but the verdict is later overturned by the US Supreme Court since his confession was made without an attorney present.
In the resulting retrial, a determined prosecutor (Luke Wilson) seeks to hold Miranda fully accountable notwithstanding defence attorney's (Ryan Phillippe) rigorous defence.
What follows is a legal proceeding that will forever change the United States’ justice system.
