Harry, Lola and Fergus are the guests of honour at a weekend-long 1920s-themed murder mystery party at a hotel on a secluded island.

But as a ferry arrives to take them to the island, over at the hotel, the head chef, Maxime Auger, is bludgeoned to death in his own kitchen.

Things grow bleaker when they realise there’s no phone or wifi signal so they cannot contact the mainland.

And what’s more, Harry, Fergus and Lola came over on the last ferry, which means the killer is still on the island.

The Great British Sewing Bee, 9.00pm, BBC One

Judges Esme Young and Patrick Grant set the four semi-finalists challenges inspired by design icons.

They begin by making a version of a dress created by master pattern cutter Cristobal Balenciaga, then take the lead from Jean Paul Gaultier to transform a pile of ties into a new garment.

Finally, Coco Chanel is in the spotlight as the sewers scour her long career to find a style for their made-to-measure outfits.‌

The Repair Shop, 8.00pm, BBC Two

Jay Blades (below) and the team lovingly resuscitate four treasured family heirlooms and the memories they hold.

First into the barn are siblings Marc Maderson and Melanie Henry with a 50-year-old childhood toy.

They're hoping bookbinder Chris Shaw will be able to make their tattered and torn paper kite flight-worthy once again.

The kite was made by Marc's stepfather and Melanie's father Roddy, who died in 2016.

It's a reminder of fun days out, seeing the once-vibrant and colourful kite soaring in the sky.

Having been grounded for the past 20 years, Chris has his work cut out on this delicate paper repair.

Richard Harrington Remembers Hinterland, 10.00pm, BBC Four

The actor Richard Harrington (below) looks back on his role as DCI Tom Mathias in the acclaimed crime drama, which took a groundbreaking approach to language barriers and inclusivity by filming the entire series in both English and Welsh.

Richard outlines the challenges this presented for him and recalls the show's dramatic impact on his own personal circumstances

Followed by the opening episode of Hinterland.

On the first day in his new job in Aberystwyth, DCI Tom Mathias is called out to investigate a mysterious disappearance.

The bathroom of a quiet seaside bungalow is covered in blood - and there is no sign of the 64-year-old owner.

The Thick of It, 10.00pm, BBC Four

Another classic episode of the political satire, starring Petr Capaldi, Rebecca Front and Chris Addison.

In this season three opener, a keen MP is appointed to the Department of Social Affairs and Citizenship in a Cabinet reshuffle, but she’s so far down the food chain spin doctor Malcolm Tucker hasn’t a file on her.

It also turns out that she has expensive ideas and is about to face the media at a crucial by-election poster launch.
