While promoting their new storm-centred blockbuster Twisters, a modern take on the 1996 classic Twister, Edgar-Jones and her co-star Anthony Ramos paid homage to Mannion's legendary report.

In a video uploaded to Warner Bros' Instagram page, they lip-synced to Mannion's famous words: "Don't make unnecessary journeys, don't take risks on treacherous roads, and don't swim in the sea!"
