Emily in Paris season four trailer explores juicy love triangle

The fun and frothy trailer for season four of Emily in Paris has been unveiled and teases a love triangle between Lily Collins' titular character and two romantic interests.

The upcoming series will land on Netflix in two five-episode parts, with Part 1 premiering on 15 August, followed by Part 2 on 12 September.

Season four of the hit romantic comedy-drama sees marketing executive Emily Cooper torn between her feelings for Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), while the marketing agency Agence Grateau navigates personnel shake-ups, and Mindy Chen (Ashley Park) and her band prepare for Eurovision.

The season four trailer opens as Emily revels in her newfound singledom.

"I've been so focused on Gabriel and Alfie that I forgot what it feels like to be single," she says.

However, it soon becomes clear that Emily is finding it hard to cut ties with both men.

"I really thought that I could move on from both of them but they mean so much to me for different reasons," Emily says.

Her dilemma is complicated further by the fact that Gabriel is expecting a baby with his ex.

An official synopsis for season four reads: "After the dramatic events of Camille and Gabriel's misbegotten wedding, Emily is reeling: She has strong feelings for two men, but now Gabriel's expecting a baby with his ex, and Alfie’s worst fears about her and Gabriel have been confirmed.

"At work, Sylvie is forced to confront a thorny dilemma from her past for the sake of her marriage, and the Agence Grateau team navigates personnel shakeups.

"Mindy and the band prepare for Eurovision, but when funds run dry, they’re forced to get thrifty. Emily and Gabriel’s chemistry is undeniable as they work together towards a Michelin star, but two big secrets threaten to undo everything they’ve dreamed of."

The trailer closes as Emily seemingly makes a choice regarding her love life.

"I promised myself I'd be open to any possibility, and this seems like it's the one."

The show also stars Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucien Laviscount, Lucas Bravo, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, Camille Razat and William Abadie.

Joining the cast this season will be Rupert Everett, Thalia Besson, the daughter of Fifth Element director Luc Besson, Eugenio Franceschini, Anna Galiena and Raol Bova.

Emily in Paris seasons 1-3 are streaming now on Netflix.

Season 4 part 1 premieres on Thursday 15 August, followed by season 4 part 2 on Thursday 12 September.
