Timothée Chalamet appears as Bob Dylan in the new trailer for A Complete Unknown, the new movie about the legendary singer and musician.
Set in the New York music scene of the early 60s, the film follows 19-year-old Minnesota musician Dylan's rise as a folk singer to concert halls and the top of the charts, culminating in his groundbreaking electric rock and roll performance at the Newport Folk Festival in 1965.
The film is released this January and was directed by James Mangold (Walk the Line, Ford v Ferrari).
Dune sago, Chalamet was announced in the lead role of A Complete Unknown over four years ago and reportedly took guitar lessons in preparation.
Dylan himself is reported to be executive producer of the film, along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Andrew Rona.
A Complete Unknown also stars Edward Norton (Fight Club, Birdman) as Pete Seeger, Elle Fanning (The Great, Maleficent) as Sylvie Russo, Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick) as Joan Baez, Boyd Holbrook (Logan, The Bikeriders) as Johnny Cash, Dan Fogler (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Walking Dead) as Albert Grossman, Norbert Leo Buzt (Dan in Real Life) as Alan Lomax, and Scoot McNairy (Argo, 12 Years A Slave) as Woody Guthrie.
