Coverage of day four in Paris starts on the early side, as the men's triathlon gets under way at 7.00 at Pont Alexandre III. It is, of course, an hour later in Paris.

There will also be rowing quarter-finals and semi-finals at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium, and swimming heats at La Defense Arena, along with hockey action as Ireland's men's facing a tough Pool B match against India at the Yves-du-Manoir Stadium from 12.15pm.

That’s folowed at 2pm by Paris Olympics 2024: Today, as Peter Collins presents further coverage.

Women's team artistic gymnastics, men's BMX freestyle and women's rugby sevens are among the events taking place.

The final of the gymnastics begins at the Bercy Arena at 5.15pm, and the qualifying event of the men's BMX freestyle takes place at La Concorde from 2.12pm, while the women's rugby sevens have reached the knockout stages at the Stade de France, culminating in the final at 6.45pm.

Then at 7.15pm, Paris Olympics 2024: Tonight covers the swimming finals at La Defense Arena, where a further three champions are set to be crowned, including in the men's 4x200m freestyle relay at 8.59pm.

The women's 100m backstroke final is at 7.57pm and the men's 800m freestyle is six minutes later, and there are semi-finals in a further four disciplines.
