Formed in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic, Sauce Gang Collective are Lenin Mitchell (vocals), Kevin (vocals), Rhyss Davies (guitar and vocals), Mark Moloney (bass and vocals), Neil O'Flanagan (keys) and Sam Shepard (drums).
They released their debut album, Bangers 'n' Brown Sauce, in 2022 and speaking about Mustard Melodies, they say, "This is a refined version of our sound. Our first album was about us having fun, figuring it out and recording random songs in a bedroom that we thought sounded cool.
"We had to arrange the songs differently live and realised there was a certain `magic' in our sound, and that it translated really well with live drums, electric guitars and trying to sound as loud as possible.
"We've got rock, pop, hip-hop, funk, indie and everything else in between. It was recorded mostly in Pirate Studios in the north of Dublin, while still recording at home, to maintain our independent sound."
