Athletics takes centre stage for the first time at the Paris Games this morning, and the diving and rowing competitions continue on day seven.

The Stade de France is the venue for the start of the athletics, with the decathlon 100m at 9.05am, the men's hammer qualification from 9.10am, the women's high jump qualification from 9.15am, the women's 100m preliminary round at 9.35am, the decathlon long jump at 9.55am, round one of the men's 1500m at 10.05am, round one of the women's 100m at 10.50am and the decathlon shot put from 11.15am.

All times are liable to change as this is a live event.

Evanne Ní Chuilinn presents, with analysis from Barry Murphy, Derval O'Rourke (above), Grainne Murphy and Sonia O'Sullivan.

In Paris Olympics 2024: Today at 1pm there's further live coverage of the equestrian jumping team final at the Chateau de Versailles, along with the Pool B men's hockey match between New Zealand and Ireland.

Peter Collins presents, with analysis from Rob Heffernan, Sonia O'Sullivan and Tom Freyne.

Then at 5.45pm there's Paris Olympics 2024: Tonight, with a bumper evening of Olympic action, as athletics and swimming share the spotlight, as well as men's and women's BMX Racing finals.
