"Some Other Woman is about the pain, anger and confusion that comes with knowing the one you love is with someone else." she says.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I'm originally from Naples in Florida. I lived there for most of my childhood, with the exception of a year I spent in Telluride in Colorado. I started writing songs when I was twelve. Of course they weren’t any good at first, but I was incessant. By the time I started high school I had written a few hundred. That’s about when they started to get good.

I’ve moved around a lot, particularly the last few years. My partner moved to Nashville with me so I could pursue music, and then I moved to Lexington, Kentucky last year so he could go to the law school here. I told him I would go anywhere that had a decent music scene. Fortunately, it’s also a nice place to live. We’re in the middle of the bluegrass region, so there are giant horse farms everywhere. I’m in no rush to move again.

How would you describe your music?

I experiment with a lot of genres. My upcoming album is predominately pop rock, but it also incorporates elements of folk, blues, and alt country. Lyrically, my music is very honest. Most of my songs tell a story, though they’re not always based on my life.

Who are your musical inspirations?

The artists that have inspired me most are Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell. I love Stevie’s voice and the aura of her songs. She’s undoubtedly influenced my writing and vocal style. I also really love Joni. Her lyrics are poetry; that’s something I aim to emulate.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

I went with my parents to a Shania Twain concert when I was really little - I think I was five or six. There was a part of the show every night where she would come talk to a kid in the audience. I was the kid she talked to. She tried to get me to sing, but I was so awestruck I could barely get anything out. After the concert several people came up to me and said, "hey, you’re the girl who wouldn’t sing!"

What was the first record you ever bought?

The first record I remember buying is Born To Die by Lana Del Rey. I was fourteen. Lana had just gotten popular. I was really intrigued by her voice and lyrical style after Video Games but I really fell in love with her after seeing the National Anthem music video.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Honestly right now I’m loving Lana’s new song with Quavo, Tough.

Favourite lyric of all time?

I’m not sure I have an all-time favourite lyric, but the first one that came to mind is, "they told me all of my cages were mental, so I got wasted like all my potential." - This is Me Trying - Taylor Swift.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

That’s a really tough question. If I could only listen to one song for the rest of my life I’d probably have to pick something calming, like Enya. My favourite song of hers is Caribbean Blue. Listening to it feels like being in a dream.

Where can people find your music/more information?

My singles are on all streaming services. You can also find me on social media, namely Instagram (username: loganc_taylor) and Facebook.
