Palehound have released four albums, Dry Food (2015), A Place I'll Always Go (2017), Black Friday (2019), and Eye on the Bat (2023).

The band currently features Ed on vocals/guitar, Zoë Brecher on drums and Larz Brogan on bass. In 2015 the band received the Boston Music Award for new artist of the year.

Tickets for the Dublin gig, priced €17.45, are on sale here.

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I recently have been boxing and have been really enjoying punching a bag as an emotional experience. I have a cat named Zouki who I adore and who most of the time is an angel except for the once a week when he randomly will attack me seemingly for no reason. I've gotten sucked into The Real Housewives of New York City and can't stop watching them.

How would you describe your music?

I always cringe when attempting to describe my music because it feels embarrassing for some reason, I think because it forces me to think about what it actually is. I feel that my music is confessional and lyric-driven but also heavily informed by how I wanna tell those stories via playing guitar.

Who are your musical inspirations?

I have tons of influences old and new. Some of my older ones are Elliott Smith, Jimi Hendrix, and Pavement. More current ones include Ovlov, This Is Lorelei, and MJ Lenderman.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

Avril Lavigne and Simple Plan. My dad took me and I wore a camo shirt and had my hands up in the rock symbol the entire time.

What was the first record you ever bought?

3LW self-titled.

What’s your favourite song right now?

True Love by Hovvdy ever since my girlfriend put it on a playlist for me.

Favourite lyric of all time?

I can't say that, it just is truly impossible and it breaks my brain. I will say one of my current/recent favourite lyrics is Allegra Kreiger's song Low when she says "I keep my feet on the ground//And my expectations low".

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Another brain-breaking question haha. I can't say, but a song that I can always come back to and love is Ballad Of Big Nothing by Elliott Smith.

Where can people find your music/more information?

I am personally most active on Instagram, sadly.

Alan Corr
