The Pogues announce guests for Dublin gig

Members of Fontaines D.C. and Lankum, John Francis Flynn and Nadine Shah are among guests who will play a gig to mark the 40th Anniversary The Pogues' debut album Red Roses For Me in Dublin this December.

Junior Brother, Kojaque, Iona Zajac and Stick In The Wheel will also appear alongside Pogues founding members Spider Stacy, Jem Finer and James Fearnley at the sold-out show at the 3Arena on 17 December.

Curated by Stacy, the concert also features Goat Girl’s Holly Mullineaux, Alfie’s Fiachra Meek, Bad Seeds Jim Sclavunos and George Vjestica of The Bad Seeds, Pretender and Pogue James Walbourne, Jordan O’Leary from The Scratch will perform tracks such as Boys from the County Hell, Dark Streets of London and The Auld Triangle.

The 40th anniversary performance of Red Roses For Me will honour the late Pogues front man Shane MacGowan who passed away last November and comes as the band re-release their acclaimed debut album.
