Farro Fresh pasta recalled over possible presence of glass

Farro Fresh Food is recalling a batch of its Farro Kitchen brand Pulled Lamb Shank Ragu due to the possible presence of glass.

The affected batch has a best before date marked 18 OCT 24.

The microwaveable meals are sold in Farro Fresh stores throughout Auckland, including:

  • Farro Fresh Epsom, 446-450 Manukau Rd, Epsom
  • Farro Fresh Grey Lynn, 34 Westmoreland St West, Grey Lynn
  • Farro Fresh Mt Eden, 422 Dominion Rd, Mt Eden
  • Farro Fresh Mt Wellington, 80 Lunn Ave, Mt Wellington
  • Farro Fresh North Shore, 70 Parkway Dr, Mairangi Bay
  • Farro Fresh Orakei Bay Village, 228 Orakei Rd, Remuera
  • Farro Smales Farm, 78-94 Taharoto Rd, Takapuna

The affected product "should not be consumed", the Ministry for Primary Industries said on its website.

"There have been no reports of associated injury, however if you have consumed any of this product and have any concerns about your health, seek medical advice."

Customers have been advised to return the product to the retailer for a full refund.

The recall does not affect any other Farro Kitchen brand products.
