Celebrity style from the 2024 Cannes Film Festival

Since 1946, the Cannes Film Festival has been one of the most star-studded and fashionable events on the industry's calendar.

The site of some of the celebrity world's most daring ensembles in recent years, stars are often snapped experimenting with everything from avant garde tailored looks, to barefoot rebellions.

The at the 77th festival will run between May 14 – 25, under the watchful eyes of a star-studded jury. This year's nine-strong jury includes Greta Gerwig, Lily Gladstone, Ebru Ceylan, Eva Green, Juan Antonio Bayona, Nadine Labaki, Pierfrancesco Favino, Omar Sy, Hirokazu Kore-eda.

This year, we'll be keeping an eye out for familiar faces on the red carpet as five Irish films featuring homegrown talent - both behind and in front of the camera - are set to enjoy their world premiere throughout the week: Ali Abassi's The Apprentice; Ariane Labed’s September Says, Lorcan Finnegan's The Surfer; Yorgos Lanthimos' Kinds of Kindness; and Rungano Nyoni's On Becoming a Guinea Fowl.

The Irish Film & Television Network report that 20 Irish projects will be selling at the festival's marketplace, with an Irish delegation of over 200 industry personnel travelling over for the festivities.
