A motorcyclist is dead after a crash involving a car in Te Kuiti this afternoon.
Police said the two-vehicle crash on Lawrence St was reported at around 1.15pm.
"The motorcyclist was critically injured in the crash and has since died," a police spokesperson said this evening.
The Serious Crash Unit has carried out a scene examination and the road has reopened.
