Angelina Jolie, Danial Radcliffe and Eddie Redmayne were among the stars lighting up New York City last night as the 77th Tony Awards took place in the bustling city.

Stars of theatre and musicals brought their boldest looks and brightest colours to the red carpet of the annual event, with Jolie arguably leading the pack in a breathtaking teal velvet gown by Atelier Versace, the colour and draping of which brought to mind the Statute of Liberty.

Jolie attended alongside her daughter Vivienne, who produced the show The Outsiders with her mother. The show picked up four awards on the night.
