With revised 150 BHP HDi diesel engine, there's a lot to be said of matching a busy and unpredictable schedule with a 700 km+ fuel tank.

The 1.5 litre engine is a smooth and refined diesel that may not have as much pulling power as a 2.0 litre engine but it is relaxing on motorways and has enough pull to maneuver smoothly from the slip road to the motorway. The 508 continues to be the French outlier to the German saloon stock.

Peugeot Ireland lent the vehicle to journalists for the purpose of review.
