The weather is (hopefully) improving, but come rain or shine, there's plenty to keep us entertained over the summer in Dublin.

This weekend, there is a pop-up dog park coming to Dundrum, a scratch night for up-and-coming creatives in the Bernard Shaw, and one of Ireland's oldest festivals will be taking place in the heart of the city.

OFF TOPIC

Established this year, OFF TOPIC is a new series of events that seeks to cultivate a community of collaboration and new work.

An alternative scratch night where creatives of all genres and mediums can come together to show off their work, each event will be based around a different dynamic theme or topic, with performers interpretring them in their own unique way.

The launch event will be taking place at The Racket Space in Dublin's The Bernard Shaw on Friday, 26 July at 8:00pm. The theme is Masquerade: The Faces We Wear and audience members are invited to dress up. Tickets cost €15.

Pop-Up Dog Park

Dog food company Butternut Box is launching a two day pop-up dog park at Dundrum Town Centre, creating a fun and interactive space for dogs to play, sample incredible dog food, take home prizes and more.

The pop-up pup park will be placed in Pembroke Square for families to bring their four-legged friends for fun, food and frolics. The interactive dog park offers an opportunity for dogs to socialise and have fun while their humans grab a coffee and mingle.

The Butternut Bark Park will be open from 9am – 7pm on Saturday, 27 of July, and 10am – 7pm on Sunday, 28 of July on Pembroke Square in Dundrum Town Centre.

Liberties Festival

Running from Monday, 22 July - Sunday, 28 July, one of Ireland's oldest festivals will take place with music, family-fun events, sunrise yoga, walking tours, exhibitions, a fun run, markets, and much more.

From modest beginnings in 1970, the annual festival has grown to become a highlight of the summer in Dublin with an exciting multi-cultural and arts programme. Some events are ticketed so be sure to plan ahead.
