Renault's Rafale Hybrid runs on a small but economical 1.2 engine

The new Rafale is up against the Peugeot 3008 and Volkswagen Tiguan. Inside it's similar to the Austral and it comes with plenty of space for passengers.

While Renault's hybrid runs on a small but economical 1.2 litre engine, it may be missing that element of fun for the driver and the ride is a little crashy. With around 900kms out of a tank it's sure to be of interest to families looking to increase the stretch between fuel stops.

Renault Ireland lent the vehicle to journalists for the purpose of review.
