Ireland have two representatives in this year's Team of the Championship for the Guinness Women's Six Nations, with Aoife Wafer and Neve Jones both included.

The pair were two of Ireland's standout performers, as Scott Bemand's side won two games to finish third in the table, securing qualification for the World Cup next year, as well as advancing to the top tier of the WXV later this season.

Jones is named to the team of the championship for the second time in her career, after being one of four Irish in the composite side in 2022.

The hooker made more carries (42) and completed more tackles (63) than any other player in her position, and was also one of just three forwards to reach double figures for dominant tackles.

Wafer, who picked up two Player of the Round awards as well as a Player of the Match against Wales, is selected in the back-row after a break-out campaign.

The 21-year-old made more linebreaks (6) and metres (417) than any other forward, and won the most turnovers of any player in her position (5).

The Wexford native was also shortlisted for Player of the Championship, but was beaten to the award by England's Ellie Kildunne, who scored a remarkable nine tries in five games as England won the Grand Slam for the fifth time in a row.

Kildunne is one of nine English players named to the team of the championship, with France, Ireland and Italy having two apiece.

Team of the Championship: Ellie Kildunne (England); Alyssa D'Inca (Itay), Megan Jones (England), Beatrice Rigoni (Italy), Abby Dow (England); Holly Aitchison (England), Natasha Hut (England); Hannah Botterman (England), Neve Jones (Ireland), Maud Muir (England); Manae Feleu (France), Zoe Aldcroft (England); Aoife Wafer (Ireland), Sadia Kabeya (England), Romane Menager (France)
