The first round of the Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup will feature a blockbuster tie between Galway United and Shelbourne.

Fourteen teams were plucked from the cup itself at headquarters at the National Sports Campus, with holders Athlone Town receiving a bye to the next round.

Table-toppers Galway United, who have made a ruthless start to their league campaign with six wins and a draw in their opening seven fixtures, will host last season's beaten finalists Shelbourne at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Shelbourne are the only other side to remain unbeaten in the top flight after recording five victories and three draws.

DLR Waves and Whitehall Rangers, and Bohemians and Peamount United clash in Dublin derbies, while Cork City and Douglas Hall will contest a derby of their own on Leeside.

All ties will be played on the week ending 4 August.

Sports Direct Women's FAI Cup first round draw:

DLR Waves v Whitehall Rangers
Galway United v Shelbourne
Treaty United v Ferns United
Bohemians v Peamount United
Cork City v Douglas Hall
Shamrock Rovers v Wexford
Sligo Rovers v Terenure Rangers
