Mikey Stafford and Rory O'Neill are joined by Tyrone legend Peter Canavan and Malachy Clerkin of the Irish Times to look ahead to what seems the first big weekend of the provincial football championships.

Mickey Harte's Derry host Jim McGuinness's Donegal in an intriguing clash. On paper, despite the McGuinness factor, Derry are the stronger side, but is there any chance the back-to-back Ulster champions will ease off a little and think of the summer ahead?

Cavan v Tyrone is another Division 1 v Division 2 Ulster tie, and with Tyrone featuring five Championship debutants even Peter is not sure what to expect from this one.

Mayo travel to their home away from home in Roscommon to take on a Roscommon side who, despite an enviable array of forwards, failed to fire during the league. But the lads are sure Kevin McStay has planned his season better than last year and Mayo should be ready for their hosts.

It's 1995 since Cork beat Kerry in Fitzgerald Stadium. The form book suggests the wait will go on, but Cork showed some decent Championship pedigree last year, enough to at least make Kerry take this one seriously.
