Leinster look set to sign tighthead prop Rabah Slimani ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Clermont Auvergne head coach Christophe Urios confirmed that he will leave the club to continue his playing career, having made plans to join the coaching staff at the French club.
It is believed that the former France international will sign a two-year deal with the Donnybrook-based club, and has apparently already undergone a medical at Leinster ahead of the official announcement.
"He told us of his desire to play again, but we couldn't match the two years offered to him by Leinster," said Urios, speaking to La Montagne. "In fact, last season, Rabah signed a coaching contract with us.
"There you go, we now have to break this contract between us and we won't hold it back. I told him that it was an incredible opportunity for him to go and play there."
Slimani join RG Snyman and Jordie Barrett among the non-Irish qualified players in the squad for next season.
