Villarreal have announced the signing of Willy Kambwala from Manchester United on a five-year deal.

The 19-year-old centre-back made 10 appearances for the Reds after signing from French side Sochaux in 2020.

Kambwala made his senior debut during United's 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium in the Premier League last season.

A United statement read: "Willy leaves with the sincere thanks of everyone at Manchester United, and our very best wishes for the next chapter of his career."

Arsenal have announced two departures, with Nuno Tavares joining Lazio on a season-long loan and midfielder Sambi Lokonga heading to La Liga side Sevilla on a similar deal.

Full-back Tavares joins the Serie A side from the Gunners after playing at Nottingham Forest last season.

Tavares, who Arsenal signed from Portuguese club Benfica in 2021, has made 28 appearances for the north London club in all competitions.

He will now play his football under Igor Tudor, who managed Tavares at Marseille during the 2022-23 campaign

Lokonga arrived in north London from Anderlecht in July 2021 and has made 39 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions.

The 24-year-old has had previous loan spells with Crystal Palace
