All-Ireland ladies final is 'Kerry's to lose' - Nadine Doherty

"I would say Kerry themselves are probably surprised and relieved they’re not playing Dublin ... but we’ll see how it goes.

"Looking at that Galway team ... you talk about leaders, Nicola Ward at 6, she is a warrior. If Galway win this Championship, you’re looking at your player of the year there. She is worth three or four players." she said.

Doherty said she expects Kerry’s experience of playing in finals will stand to them and see them over the line.

"Galway are a team, as we saw against Dublin, that can squeeze out the results when it’s tight but it’s so hard to call.

"I think whoever manages to overcome the nerves, or whatever block causes both of these teams to underperform, then obviously will put themselves in very good position of winning... You’d have to feel that Kerry hold that slight advantage due to being in that third final in a row.

"But I would say with confidence that it’s Kerry’s to lose," Doherty said.
