Israel Olatunde has smashed his own Irish record in London, the Tallaght sprinter clocking a time of 10.12 at the NEB Open.
In a blistering performance, in which he beat British pair Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake and Stephen Baffour into second and third, Olatunde took 0.05 off his previous national record, set in the European final in Munich in 2022.
In Munich, Olatunde had taken 0.01 second off Paul Hession's long-standing national 100m record, set in Finland in 2007.
The performance marked a return to form for Olatunde, who placed seventh in this year's European semi-final in a time of 10.40, missing out on qualification for the Paris Olympics.
