Leinster to play Champions Cup pool games at Aviva Stadium

Leinster have confirmed that they will play their 2024-25 Champions Cup pool games at the Aviva Stadium, due to ongoing re-development work at the RDS.

Last season's runners-up have been drawn in a pool alongside longstanding foes La Rochelle, Clermont Auvergne and Premiership duo, Bath and Bristol Bears.

Leo Cullen's side are set to face Clermont and Bath at home in December and January, with the Aviva Stadium pencilled in as the venue.

Croke Park, which hosted last season's semi-final victory over Northampton, as well as this October's URC fixture against Munster, had been considered but Leinster rugby chiefs have opted for their more familiar surrounds at Lansdowne Road.

Italian outfit Bennetton have also been drawn in Pool 2, though, as with last year, clubs from the same domestic league do not play each other in the Champions Cup pool phase.

FIXTURES:

Sun, 8 Dec: Bristol Bears v Leinster, Ashton Gate (5.30pm)
Sat, 14 Dec: Leinster v Clermont Auvergne, Aviva Stadium (5.30pm)
Sun, 12 Jan: La Rochelle v Leinster, Stade Marcel Deflandre (5.30pm)
Sat, 18 Jan: Leinster v Bath, Aviva Stadium (5.30pm)
