In many years of covering Paris fashion week, one show I will never forget was Dries Van Noten's autumn/winter 2004 collection, his 48th.

As the last model left the catwalk and the lights went down, the velvet curtains were drawn back to reveal a bank of 350 mirror balls standing some 15 metres high, pulsating with light.
